THE PAST

June 2nd, 1998 - 2016.

Akechi is the illegitimate child of Masayoshi Shido. His mother was a sex worker who was shamed for having a child out of wedlock and committed suicide. According to him, before her suicide, she raised him alone, and whenever she brought men from the red light district into their home, she would tell him to go to the bath house. Akechi desired to make Shido apologize for his crime of making her illegally conceive a child, but was powerless to do anything because Shido was already a high-ranking official by then. Orphaned after his mother's death, he was passed between a succession of relatives who took no interest in him.Prior to the events of Persona 5 Royal, Akechi acquired the power of the Wild Card and gained access to the Metaverse through Yaldabaoth. Afterward, he offered his newfound abilities to Shido, who employed him as an assassin to achieve his goal of becoming Prime Minister. However, in truth, this was just a plan by Akechi to catch Shido off guard so he could expose his acts to the public before killing him when he took premiership.

THE NOW AND BEYOND

2016 - 2024.

After taking back reality from Takuto Maruki, Akechi's fate was left unknown—at least to those who believed he died at Shido's 'Palace'.Akechi only appeared prior to the third semester as suspicions of actualization arose after being let off from interrogation in place of Joker's, but now with no further manipulation of reality, he was able to finally continue his visit at a rehabilitation center; apparently this rehab center also temporarily took care of Akechi's late mother. At Christmas Eve of last year, the wish for atonement still resided in his head, alongside the realization that he still needed to "repay debts", Akechi traveled to the rehabilitation center and they accepted him without a word, knowing not only his mother and her fate, but as well understanding what he had to bare for years.Akechi remained in that center for a few months, obtaining an understanding of himself and friendship with the protagonist, the realization that he no longer replaced himself to save the other from an unfair atonement. So, he became one of the many individuals who spoke in good faith of his friend to lighten his sentence... And after word traveled that said friend became a free man, he could finally leave the center and speak for the various crimes in Shido's name, returning to Tokyo—living his life the way he wants, with no one controlling him. Ever again. Albeit locked away.It took no longer than two years for him to be released for a variety of reasons: good behavior, his fame as the "Next Prince Detective", and disbelief of the Metaverse existing as a whole. This caused him to be put on probation... Though this isn't without consequences, it was difficult to get a job, which lead to an opening of his own Private Detective Agency, the wishes of him to still pursuit the "truth" ultimately remained.He doesn't have a name for his PDA, and currently it's only him. He remains alone in his apartment, offering to take up investigations in and out of Japan.

HOW DOES HE LOOK NOW?

Akechi, physically, hasn't changed overall, the only main difference his hair being slightly longer, to the point where it reaches barely past his shoulder.Outfit wise? He now wears a white long-sleeved shirt with flaps underneath a dark blue argyle sweater vest, which is covered by a long brown unbuttoned trench coat. He keeps his beige pants and brown shoes. His black gloves still remain.His Metaverse remains the same.

is the ability to form a contract allowing one to access and summon multiple Personas and switch between them in battle.

Though, Akechi is somewhat different, as he was gifted by the God of Control... He's able to summon Shadows at will to act as allies in battle, though he uses this temporary for skills he himself does not possess, or to be sacrificial.

At the moment, Akechi wields three Personas...

Loki; the god of mischief in Norse mythology.A large body patterned in white and black, and we hoped that it would conjure up the image of not being able to see where his loyalty lies.

Robin Hood; the heroic outlaw in English folklore who, according to legend, was a highly skilled archer and swordsman.The prominent "RH" shield logo on his chest not only echoes Superman's "S" shield, it also reflects the letter "A" on Akechi's attaché case, a symbolism of his desire for public recognition.

Hereward; the ultimate Persona.The legendary Saxon who opposed the Normans during the conquest of England in the 11th century.
Said to have been the basis for tales of Robin Hood, Called
"Hereward the Wake" for his watchfulness.
